Understanding what a Factor in primary school is a great investment for future learning.Children often get multiples and factors mixed up. 3 is a factor of 9. 9 is a multiple of 3.You can use factor pairs too. 4 & 6 are a factor pairs of 24. 24 is a multiple of both 4 & 6 and it's the product of 4 & 6.As well as being useful in problem solving, knowing factors is really helpful with working with fractions.
